Last updated: 6 September 2026. This notice describes Quillpane v0.13.3, the local Markdown editor formerly named Markpad, maintained by Shreyam Adhikari.
Quillpane does not require an account and does not provide a cloud sync service. Note files are read and saved on your device at locations you select. Session information, preferences, recovery drafts and version-history snapshots are stored locally in the application's configuration area.
Quillpane does not include application analytics, advertising trackers or telemetry that sends your note contents or usage history to the developer.
The application needs access to files and folders you choose to open or edit. Use operating-system permissions to control access. Store and sandboxed editions may keep settings in their own application data directories. Removing the application does not necessarily delete your documents or every local backup; review those locations separately if you want to remove them.
If you follow an external link, your browser and the destination website apply their own privacy practices. Download stores, the operating system and the system webview may process information under their own policies; this notice does not replace those policies.
If you voluntarily send an email or GitHub issue, the information you send is used to respond to your request. GitHub issues are public: do not include private notes, credentials or personal documents.
